Silverman gets top CCM honors in Marysville

In their first joint race with the BCRA, Dillon Silverman, debuting a SuperFocus engine by SCREAM, took top honors for the Capital City Midgets. The two organizations ran an American LeMans style event, allowing the groups to race together for separate honors. BCRA's John Sarale from Stockton,CA took the overall win, Silverman was the top placing ASCS/Capital City Midgets driver (7th overall).

The ASCS/Capital City Midgets give up over 100 horsepower to the unlimited midgets of the BCRA. Silverman from Chico, CA started 9th, worked his way up to 5th prior to losing two positions to more powerful BCRA cars. The entire evening he was in the thick of things running door to door with the BCRA regulars.

Matt Land of Elk Grove overcame braking problems to finish 2nd in class (8th overall) while Lonny Alton of Cameron Park held on for 3rd in class (9th overall).

Bill Lyon of Jackson, CA made his debut with the Capital City Midgets in his Beast SuperFocus powered car. Unfortunately an ignition problem had him retire early from the main event.

The next race for the group will be another joint event, this time with the BCRA Midget Lites on May 2nd once again at Marysville Raceway Park.

With the win, Silverman leads the CCM series after two races.
