Corso takes home the CCM Checkered Flag

Brian Corso of Ripon, California decided to come race at the last minute and took home the coveted Capital city Midgets Checker Flag.

Corso who started 4th went from 4th to 1st on the 1st lap and never looked back. Following him to the checkered were Rick Holbrook of Vacaville, Dillon Silverman of Chico, Bill Lyon of Lakeport and Lonny Alton of Cameron Park.

Corso and Holbrook, both BCRA Midget Lite regulars supported the event to help car counts as development of the new Chevy EcoTec engine eliminated 3 CCM cars for the night. Both of the drivers planned to use the evening as a chance to sort out their machines for their upcoming non-wing BCRA race at the facility.

The heat race mimiced the main event with Corso leading the way, followed by Holbrook and Silverman. Silverman jumped into the #99 RAM racing entry normally driver by Rick Young as his normal car is at Revolution Racing being outfitted with the new Chevy EcoTec by Keith Iaia.

The next Capital City Midgets event will be on June 27th, when they run another American LeMans style race with the BCRA Midgets at Placerville Speedway. Please join us for the fun.
